He's Already a Fan thanks to João and Clarice

As you already know, every person in our family is a fan of Internacional soccer team (check the links on the right side of this page). Some, of course, are bigger fans than others. Bronwyn, Garrett and myself usually are the main ones that go to the games but every other family member (except Giovanni) has been to a game as well. We have a great time when we go.

All of our Brasilian friends know we love this team as well.

Since Giovanni's birth we have had people coming by to see him and Benay.

Yesterday João and Clarice, and their son Joca, came to visit. João is an air force pilot and Clarice is a doctor. They are part of the house church family that meet in Matt and Waleska's house. They are both at least 10 years younger than Benay and myself but are incredibly mature spiritually. They are a real blessing to our family as well as to everyone in all the different house churches.

João is currently taking a course in Rio de Janeiro. He's been there a couple of months and has almost three months left before completing it. He only comes home on the weekends. So, for them to take time to visit us yesterday was a real blessing for us and a great sacrifice for them.

They enjoyed spending some time with Giovanni.

They brought him some gifts as well. It's a little shirt, socks and a pacifier all from Internacional.

Our boy is ready for his first game.

God has blessed us with lots of people who take care of us. Please keep João, Clarice and Joca in your prayers as they strive to do God's will. Please pray for João's continued safety in his weekly travels to Rio and for God to protect his family while he is away.
