We're taking a break from our vacation reporting to show you a clip from our favorite sports team. We never get tired of sharing news from our team (unless they are stinking).
Our team, Internacional, had a game last night. Garrett and his buddy (Pedro) were dying to go and so I took them. Pedro's dad met up with us at the game.
We won (an ugly game) and we, as always, had a great time enjoying the game.
Here is a clip from our only goal scored. Look at our boy, Nilmar, at the beginning run the ball down and steal it (some say it wasn't legal but the ref's ruled otherwise)and then feed it to Adriano for the goal.
Also,(probably me, Bronwyn and Garrett are the only ones who care about this one)last night we played against a team called Goiás. Speaking of Adrianos, in March we posted about a guy named Adriano Gabiru. He scored the game winning goal when we won the World Championship in 2006. The guy who made the pass to him (Iarley) and Adriano both now play for Goiás. Here's a short clip of our fans showing their love for the two ex-Inter players last night.At the beginning they are yelling Iarley's name, then they yell Adriano's name. Yes, I realize most probably don't care about this but as sports junkies we thought it would be cool to share some of what goes on in the stands before the game with those that aren't accustomed to South American soccer.
