He's Here!

Yesterday morning Benay gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Here he is:

He was born at 4:20 a.m. and he weighed 3.610 kg and was 50.5 cm long. That can be like conversion homework for our American friends.

They should leave the hospital tomorrow morning.

Oh yeah........he FINALLY has a name.

Giovanni Müller Blume

Both Benay and Giovanni are doing great.

Congratulations! He is beautiful! And big! We use grams and centimeters in the NICU, only the babies I'm usually weighing/measuring are around 1000g and 35cm. Giovanni could eat them.

Could we get a pronunciation explanation for the middle name, please? I've googled and googled and come up with nothing.

He is absolutely precious! He is beautiful and I love his little cheeks! Congrats! I am agreeing with Callie... Can you tell us how to pronounce the middle name? Is there a meaning behind either name? Hope you are all doing well! God has poured out numerous blessings upon your family!

Since I know that the Blumes are having internet problems, I'll help out with the name. Giovanni means "Gracious God" and Müller is the last name of George Müller (pronounced mu-ler). Müller was a pioneer in Christian orphanages in England around 100 (give or take) years ago. His example has been an inspiration to many, including our team.
