One More Travel Day

We just put my girlfriend, Ansley, Giovanni and Grace on a plane going to the United States.

My girlfriend and Ansley are going to take Bronwyn to college.

Giovanni is going because this is the last time he gets to fly free. So he's going to have some hang out with grandparents time.

Grace is going to live with my parents for a few months and to be led by the Spirit to do whatever He wants her to do. She just wants to be Christ to people while she's there.

This has been a pretty busy travel year for our family so far.

Bronwyn and Ansley went to São Paulo state earlier this year to take the ACT.

Benay went to Paraguay for a women's conference.

Bronwyn went to Africa for a couple of months and then moved to the United States.

Later this year Ansley will go to Peru on a school trip.

So today was another Blume travel day.

We don't get too freaked out on travel day which is amazing since we usually put off packing until the last minute.

But we have our ways to take the edge off.

This was Giovanni about two and a half hours before his flight left.

Sometimes you just need a good soak to relax before a trip.

Their flight left at 6:00 p.m.

At 5:00 p.m. we were checking in and were told that since Giovanni is Brasilian, and that only one parent was traveling with him, he had to have a certain document that was signed by both parents before he could leave the country.  If we both were going then he didn't need the document.

Not too stressful to hear an hour before your flight leaves right?

While the kids stayed at the check in, my girlfriend and I headed to this little room.

It's a small office in the airport. Thankfully we know the lady who works there because in the past we had to get Bronwyn and Ansley the same document (even though they aren't Brasilian they had to have one too because they traveled alone under the age of 18) in the past.

She was very kind, as always, and had us in and out in about 5 minutes.

We then checked everyone in, got the kids something to eat.....
(Yes her eyes are crossed)

......and said our goodbyes.

They come home in about 3 weeks.

I would appreciate your prayers for their safety as they will be traveling a bunch after they get to the states.

You might also want to pray for those of us left behind. That Garrett, Carys, Anderson and myself won't weigh 20 pounds more than we do now.

I don't cook but I know where the good, and not always the healthiest, restaurants are. You can do the math.

P.S. My girlfriend just called. They arrived safely to São Paulo. They are now waiting to board their overnight flight to the states. Thanks, in advance, for your prayers.
